Manaia Koru: Deer Coronet

This design combines two traditional elements.  The Manaia, or bird form, is generally regarded as a spiritual guardian and represents the flight of the soul through life. The Koru (fern) form adds the element of spiritual growth and peace. Because the of guardianship and growth elements, this design is ideal as a gift from parent to child; or as a symbol for anyone looking for protection as they grow and change on the path of  their life. The Red deer coronets are harvested from naturally shed antlers in Te Wai Pounamu (The South Island).
