Koru

Represented by the curling leaf or the bud of a fern, the Koru is a symbol for growth, peace, and the search for knowledge. The Koru is one of the most prevalent forms in Maori art and is often incorporated into other designs. This particular design shows the bud of the fern emerging from the ground, ready to unfold into a fern leaf.
